Sophie L Meredith ("Oli")

Sophie L. Meredith, AKA "Oli" is a genderqueer academic, yogi, writer and poet living in Canberra, Australia. Their poetry has appeared in various publications and her first chapbook ‘We’re Going Ahead Without You’ was published by Ginninderra Press, 2018. Sophie is co-editor of, and contrubtor to, the Bathurst Poets  first collection: Bathurst Poets Anthology, 2019. Sophie loves slam poetry and offers spoken word workshops professionally. They have hosted writing workshops for the Bathurst Readers and Writers Festival 2019 (with fellow poet, Alice Blackwood) and the Lithgow Seniors Readers and Writers Festival (2019) as well as being aregular  NSW finanalist of the national Australian Poetry Slam (APS) competition. Sophie researches and teaches around social determinants of health and well-being and is  interested in harnessing opportunities for well-being in society, particularly in the current changing social climate.
